Cegléd ( Hungarian Ceglédi járás ) is a district in the southeast of the central Hungarian Pest county . It borders on Dabas County to the west, Monor County to the northwest and Nagykáta County to the north . In the south, Cegléd County separates Nagykőrös County from the main part of the county. In the west, the Szolnok District ( Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County ) forms the border.

history

The district was formed for the Hungarian administrative reform at the beginning of 2013 from 12 of the 15 municipalities of the small area of the same name (Hungarian Ceglédi kistérség ). The other 3 communities moved to the southern Nagykőrös district .
