Monor ( Hungarian Monori járás ) is a district in the middle of Pest County in central Hungary . It borders on Gyál County to the west, Vecsés County to the north-west and north , Nagykáta County to the east, Cegléd County to the south-east and Dabas County to the south-west .

history

As part of the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013, the district emerged from its predecessor, the small area of the same name (Hungarian Monori kistérség ). 11 of the 15 municipalities (57.7% of the population or 73.4% of the area) ended up in the new Monor district. The remaining 4 municipalities moved to the Vecsés district .
