Ráckeve small area
The small area Ráckeve ( Hungarian: Ráckevei kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the southwest of Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, 11 of the 20 municipalities (with a total of 36,120 inhabitants) were transferred to the subsequent district of Ráckeve (Hungarian Ráckevei járás ), 9 municipalities (with 110,033 inhabitants) were assigned to the newly created Szigetszentmiklós district .
At the end of 2012 there were 146,153 inhabitants on an area of 628.33 km². The largest small area had a population density of 233 inhabitants / km² and was thus above that of the county.
The administrative seat was in Ráckeve (9.965 Ew.). 6 other localities had the town charter : Szigetszentmiklós (34.174 Ew.), Dunaharaszti (20.396 Ew.), Szigethalom (17.035 Ew.), Tököl (10.106 Ew.), Halásztelek (9.183 Ew.) And Dunavarsány (7.416 Ew.). 3 large municipalities (Hungarian nagyközség ) had over 5,000 inhabitants: Kiskunlacháza (20,755 Ew.), Taksony (6,105 Ew.) And Dömsöd (5,795 Ew.). Together with the 10 municipalities ( község in Hungarian ) they had an average population of 2,872 (per 31.59 km²).
