Veresegyház small area

The small area Veresegyház ( Hungarian Veresegyházi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the northeast of Pest County in central Hungary . In the course of the administrative reform, the small area was dissolved at the end of 2012 and divided into 4 districts: 2 localities (2,703 inhabitants) came in the Aszód district , 2 localities (23,838 inhabitants) in the Gödöllő district , 3 localities (9,369 inhabitants) in the District Vác and the village Csomád (1,546 Ew.) Came to the district Dunakeszi .

At the end of 2012, 37,456 people lived in an area of ​​159.82 km². The population density was 234 inhabitants / km² above that of the county.

The administrative seat was in Veresegyház (16.333 Ew.). The large municipality (Hungarian nagyközség ) Őrbottyán (7.091 Ew.) Received city rights in mid-2013.
