Gyál small area

The small area Gyál (Hungarian Gyáli kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the south of Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the north, the small area touched the Hungarian capital Budapest . As part of the administrative reform, it was transferred to the subsequent Gyál district ( Gyáli járás in Hungarian ) at the beginning of 2013 , only the larger municipality of Alsónémedi moved to Dabas district .

At the end of 2012, 45,469 people lived in an area of ​​286.54 km². The population density was 159 inhabitants / km² below that of the county.

The administrative seat was in the city of Gyál (22,709 Ew.), Ócsa (9,073 Ew.) Also had city rights. The two large municipalities (Hungarian nagyközség ) Alsónémedi and Bugyi had more than 5,000 inhabitants.

In 2009 there were 45,944 inhabitants in the small area of ​​Gyál on an area of ​​286.54 km².
