Small area of ​​Gödöllő

The small area Gödöllő (Hungarian Gödöllői kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the east of Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . The small area touched the capital Budapest in the southwest . As part of the administrative reform, all 12 localities were transferred to the following district of Gödöllő (Hungarian Gödöllői járás ) at the beginning of 2013 , which was additionally expanded by three localities from the small areas of Veresegyház and Dunakeszi .

At the end of 2012 there were 109,992 inhabitants on an area of ​​380.87 km². The population density was the fourth highest in the county (289 inhabitants / km²).

The administrative seat was in the city of Gödöllő (32.792 Ew.). Three other localities also had city rights: Pécel (15.123 Ew.), Kistarcsa (12.046 Ew.) And Isaszeg (11.210 Ew.). Kerepes, Csömör and Valkó were three large municipalities (Hungarian nagyközség ). Together with the 5 municipalities ( község in Hungarian ) they had an average population of 4,853 (on 26.18 km² each).
