Dunakeszi small area

The small area Dunakeszi ( Hungarian: Dunakeszi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the southwest it bordered the Hungarian capital Budapest . During the administrative reform of 2013, the three cities came to the subsequent district of Dunakeszi (Hungarian: Dunakeszi jàrás ), while the large municipality of Mogyoród was assigned to the district of Gödöllő . To compensate for this, the municipality of Csomád moved from the disbanded Veresegyház small area to the new Dunakeszi district.

At the end of 2012, 83,586 people lived in an area of ​​125.18 km². The population density was 668 inhabitants / km², the second highest in the county.

The administrative seat was in the city of Dunakeszi (40,441 Ew.). Fót (18.927 Ew.) And Göd (17.843 Ew.) Were also cities.
