Dunakeszi is a Hungarian city in the county of the same name in Pest County . 40,441 inhabitants (2013) live in an area of 31.06 km².
history
- The Burgus Dunakeszi discovered here is a small Roman military camp . As a late antique Ländeburgus, it ensured the surveillance of a Danube crossing on the Pannonian Limes .
- In 2002, under the direction of the Hungarian archaeologist Zsolt Mráv, a subsequent excavation was carried out at the Ländeburgus Dunakeszi.

- The M2 motorway , which begins in the north of the state capital Budapest , passes Dunakeszi and ends at Vác .
- The M0 motorway runs south five kilometers away.
- Dunakeszi is on the Bratislava – Budapest railway line .
- A non-public airfield is located at an altitude of 126 meters (= 413 ft). The unpaved runway measures 800 m × 500 m.
