  • Under construction
  • In planning
  • Autópálya M2 ( Hungarian for 'motorway M2') is a south-north motorway in Hungary and part of European route 77 . It begins in the north of the state capital Budapest and leads past Dunakeszi and ends at Vác . Further construction is planned up to the Slovakian border. There it will connect to the Rýchlostná cesta R3 .

    history

The two-lane main road at that time was built from 1996 to 1998. The dual carriageway between Budapest and Vác will be built with four lanes, the net costs will be 39.3 billion forints (130 million EUR), completion is planned for summer 2019. [obsolete]

Preparations are underway for the 50 km Vác- Hont stretch (national border). The problems here could be more of a financial nature, as the difficult terrain greatly increases the costs with at least 450 billion forints (1.5 billion EUR).
