The road runs essentially parallel to the Autópálya M7 motorway ( European route 65 ) from Budapest in a south-westerly direction via Érd and Székesfehérvár (Stuhlweissenburg), Siófok and Nagykanizsa to Letenye , behind which the border with Croatia is reached. In Croatia it is continued by Državna cesta 3 .

The total length of the road is 233 kilometers.
