61-es főút ( Hungarian for 'main street 61') is a Hungarian main street . In Dunaföldvár it branches off to the west from 6-os főút , crosses the Autópálya M6 motorway ( European route 73 ) and leads via Előszállás (German: Neuhof), Cece , where it crosses 63-as főút , and Simontornya (with a branch the 64-es főút to the northeast end of the Balaton (Lake Balaton) and further via Pincehely and Tamási (here the 65-ös főút crosses ) in a south-westerly direction via Nagykónyi to Dombóvár . The 611-es főút, coming from the south, joins there . The road then runs westwards, takes the 66-os főút coming from Pécs (German: Fünfkirchen) at a roundabout and branches off onto the northern bypass of Kaposvár , while the 610-es főút leads directly into this city. On the bypass route 67-es főút , which runs in a south-north direction, is crossed. West of Kaposvár the road meets again with the 610-es főút and leads to Nagybajom . In Böhönye the 68-as főút (also European route 661 ) is crossed. The main road 61 continues west over Vése and Iharosberény , then pivots from north-northwest and reached in Nagykanizsa the 7-it főút where it ends.

The total length of the road is 198 kilometers.
