43-as főút ( Hungarian for 'main street 43') is a Hungarian main street . The Autópálya M43 motorway , which has been in operation as far as the Romanian border since 2015, runs parallel to the road further north .

The road, which also forms part of European route 68 , begins at 5-ös főút (main road 5) in Szeged , runs east from there, crosses the city of Makó and reaches the Hungarian-Romanian border in Nagylak . In Romania it continues as Drum național 7 (European route 68) to Arad .
The total length of the road is 55 kilometers.
