53-as főút ( Hungarian for 'main street 53') is a Hungarian main street . It starts in Solt at the 52-es főút and leads in a south-easterly direction, passing Akasztó , and through Kiskőrös and Soldvadkert (over a distance of 3.5 km together with the 54-es főút ), on via Kiskunhalas and in a southerly direction to Kisszállás , where the 55-ös főút is crossed. From there, the road leads to the Hungarian-Serbian border in the direction of Subotica (earlier German: Maria Theresiopel) in the Serbian Vojvodina, 10 km away from the border, bypassing the city of Tompa to the west . The total length is 89 kilometers.
