Nagymaros [ ˈnɒɟ'mɒroʃ ] (German Freistadt, Slovak Veľká Maruša ) is a Hungarian city in the Szob district in Pest County .
Geographical location
Nagymaros is located about 33 kilometers north of the capital Budapest on the left bank of the Danube and on the Börzsöny (Pilsen Mountains) . On the opposite bank of the Danube, the city of Visegrád is one kilometer away .
