Perőcsény (around 1398 Pereuchean ) is a municipality located on the border with Slovakia in the small area of Szob in Pest County in Hungary . It has 289 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013).
The name of the village was derived from the Slovak term Prečani , which means “bank residents” in German.
