Small area of Szob
The small area Szob ( Hungarian kistérség Szobi ) was until the end of 2012 a Hungarian management unit ( LAU 1) in the north of the Pest County in Hungary . During the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all 13 localities in the northernmost small area were taken over into the successor district of Szob (Hungarian Szobi járás ). The Szob district was expanded by four villages (with the town of Nagymaros ) from the small area of Vác .
At the end of 2012 there were 12,185 inhabitants on an area of 312.62 km². The population density of the poorest small area (39) was also the lowest in the county.
The administrative seat was in the only city Szob (2.806 Ew.). The 12 rural communities (villages, in Hungarian Község ) had an average population of 782 inhabitants (on an area of 24.55 km² each).
