Small area Érd

The small area Érd ( Hungarian Érdi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the west of Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the northwest it bordered the Hungarian capital Budapest . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all four localities came into the following district of Érd (Hungarian Érdi járás ), which was expanded by three localities from the dissolved small area of ​​Budaörs .

At the end of 2012, 100,033 people lived in an area of ​​117.95 km². The small area with the smallest area had the highest population density in the county with 848 inhabitants / km² .

The administrative seat was in the city of Érd (63.033 Ew.), Which was equal to a county. The city of Százhalombatta (18.577 Ew.) Was the second largest town in the small area, followed by the two large communities (Hungarian nagyközség ) Diósd (9.235 Ew.) And Tárnok (8.8888 Ew.).
