Tököl is located on the Csepel Island , around 20 km south of the Hungarian capital Budapest . The center is around 1 km from the left bank of the Danube .
history
Tököl was first mentioned in a document in 1270. Tököl's neighboring cities, Halásztelek and Szigethalom were part of the then urban area until 1951.
