The Reecedalen ( English Reece Valley ) is an icy valley in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located between the Gavlen ridge and Nupskåpa mountain in the southern part of Sverdrupfjella .
Norwegian cartographers mapped the valley using aerial photographs taken by the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE, 1949–1952) and the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) and named it after the British geologist Alan William Reece (1921–1960), who worked for the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey and NBSAE participants.
