Reed Timmer (meteorologist)
Reed Patrick Timmer (born March 17, 1980 in Grand Rapids , Michigan ) is an American meteorologist and storm chaser . He became known among other things through the now discontinued TV series Crazy About Tornados (English Storm Chasers ), which ran on the Discovery Channel , in which he followed and documented storms with his chasing team TornadoVideos.Net in his special vehicle SRV Dominator . In April 2013 he joined the Stormchasing team of KFOR TV , the 4WARN Storm Team in.
His interest in the weather was sparked at a young age when he experienced a thunderstorm that brought golf ball-sized hail . In 1997 he began studying meteorology at the University of Oklahoma , and in October of the same year he filmed his first tornado .
