The shipping company Jörg Köpping (Koepping Shipping Company) is a German shipping company based in Schülp in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district .
history
After several years as an officer and captain at German shipping companies, Jörg Köpping founded the shipping company Jörg Köpping in 1984 with his first used container ship , named after his hometown Rendsburg .
Köpping expanded the shipping company in the following years with used and newly built cargo ships. So far he has acquired twelve ships, some of which have been sold again.
The shipping company and its ships have been certified with the ISM ( International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention , a set of rules for organizing safe ship operations) by Germanischer Lloyd since 1998 .

In March 2013, the shipping company's fleet consisted of eleven ships that were in service around the world. In August 2014 the fleet consisted of ten own ships.
