Bivio Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Bivio uppermost in Oberhalbstein is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .
History and equipment
Reformation and next century
Part of the village of Bivio accepted the Reformation before 1584 , so that Bivio became a denominational parity village. The current church was only built in 1675 after the turmoil in Graubünden , so that the time of dispute about the simultaneous use of the Son Giagl church (Bivioter Rhaeto-Romanic = Gallus Church) ended.
The Bundestag, the Three Leagues certain 1657 Bivio that Son Giagl should remain with the Catholics, while the Protestants in the house Salis-Soglio to get a room and have to design the place of worship. The Catholics had to contribute 300 florins to the cost of building the hall . The Rhaetian state contributed 100 florins to the expense. In addition, the Reformed people were guaranteed the small bell from the former hospice on the Septimer Pass .
Church building
In 1668 the Reformed Bivians again coveted their own sacred building . Finally, a church building was approved - on condition that the tower be dispensed with. The Reformed Church and its denominational cemetery were built in 1671. A roof turret came to stand on the church roof . A renovation in 1996/97 resulted in the current appearance. The church entrance was moved from the west side on the busy Julierstrasse to the east side.
Steeple
The church tower could only be added later in 1746 due to the denominational tensions in the village. It is a campanile with a polygonal top and thus a two-story bell chamber, crowned by a cross instead of the rooster that is otherwise characteristic of the Reformed Graubünden.

The church space is a simple, elegant white hall church without a choir with a central pulpit without a sound cover and a baptismal font in front , which also functions as a communion table.

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Bivio, whose pastoral office looks after the whole of Sursès and is officially called Bivio-Sursès , within the Colloquium VII Engiadin'Ota-Bregaglia-Poschiavo-Sursès .
