The Reformed Church in Klosters in Prättigau is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons in Switzerland and is listed in the List of cultural property of national significance in the canton of Grisons . It was last restored in 1921.

History and equipment

Originally a 1220 ersturkundlich was attested at the site of the present church convent of the Norbertine , the eponymous was for the whole village monastery.

Only the church tower , which connects to the facade in the north and has a tent roof , still dates from the medieval founding time, while the building itself is a pre-Reformation new building from 1493. The nave , which was affected during the turmoil in Graubünden , was rebuilt in 1723.

The choir is covered by a net vault that stretches out in a star shape. Stained glass by Augusto Giacometti can be found in three windows and paintings from the time of the new building at the end of the 15th century on the walls.

A marble baptismal table is attached in the center . The pulpit dates from 1633 and is adorned with a sound cover . There are two organs in the church: on the gallery a Zurich house organ in baroque style from 1686 and a large modern organ that was installed in 1956.
