Schuders Reformed Church
The Reformed Church in Schuders in Prättigau is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . The building was last restored in 1983/84.
History and equipment
The late Gothic church, built in the pre-Reformation period in 1508 with a shingle roof , was under the patronage of St. Anne . The nave with its angled barrel vault has a dark-colored ceiling made of wooden strips. The choir is covered by a delicate reticulated vault . The Marian paintings on the choir arches were part of the ornamentation of the side altars, which were removed with the adoption of the Reformation . The organ was installed in 1983.
Church organization
As Walser parish for centuries concerned about independence and with their own parish , Schuders relies on for several years Pastorationsgemeinschaften respond. The one with Saas in Prättigau was resolved again, and from 2010 to 2012 a new one with St. Antönien was entered into. Since 2016, the Schuders parish has been cared for by several members of a parish family. The Evangelical Reformed Church of Graubünden leads Schuders within the colloquium IX Prättigau .
