Reginald Johannes Benade (* 1973 or 1974 , other sources after January 1, 1970 ) is a former Namibian discus thrower and Paralympic athlete . At the Summer Paralympics 2008 , Bernade was the first Namibian ever to win a Paralympic medal for his country in a sport other than running, and as the only one so far (as of October 2018).

Benade was attacked in February 2015 in Taipei , Taiwan , in which he sustained head injuries. The alleged perpetrator had to answer for attempted murder.
