Regine Möbius

Regine Möbius (born June 23, 1943 in Chemnitz ) is a German writer and Vice President of the German Cultural Council .

Life

Regine Möbius completed an evening course in chemical process engineering at the Köthen engineering school from 1963 to 1967 and headed the experimental laboratory of the veterinary laboratory of the Karl Marx University for sheep breeding . From 1984 to 1987 she studied at the Institute for Literature "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig . From 1991 to 1997 she worked as a correspondent for the Börsenblatt for the German book trade. From 1994 to 2007 she headed the Saxony State Association in the Association of German Writers (VS) and has been Deputy Chairwoman of the VS Federal Executive Committee since 1997. She has been ver.di’s Art and Culture Commissioner at federal level since 2007, and has been Vice-President of the German Cultural Council since 2011. Regine Möbius publishes prose, poetry and journalism. She lives with her family in Leipzig.
