Rehauer Forest

The Rehau Forest is a wooded ridge in the Upper Franconian district of Hof , between the Rehau districts of Dobenck in the north and Schönlind in the south. The western boundary is the Perlenbach valley and the A 93 motorway , which was completed in 2000, and the eastern boundary is the state border with the Czech Republic .

In terms of nature , the forest is located in the main unit Upper Vogtland (412) within the main unit group Vogtland (41). It has an area of ​​approx. 46.8 km² (corresponds to 4680 hectares ). The ridge consists of several elevations around the Eichberg (608 m). Other prominent elevations are the Hohe Kapf (592 m), the Heinersberg, the Silberleite (607 m), the Brandhübel, the Leite (608 m) and the Schönlinder Höhe (682 m).

Buildings

Kornberg , Rehauer Forst and Elstergebirge together form one of the most important Central European forest bridges . This was interrupted by the construction of the A 93 . In order to restore the genetic change in the wild population, there has been a green bridge over the A 93 at the Rehau district of Eulenhammer since 2012 .

Waters

In the forest area with few springs, the Löwitz , the Höllbach and three source brooks, the Perlenbach, arise in addition to a few smaller streams .
