Reimund Korupp

Reimund Korupp (born April 14, 1954 ; † March 20, 2013 in Heidelberg) was a German cellist .

Life

Korupp completed his studies with Rudolf Metzmacher . He then received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music in London . He was temporarily solo cellist with the Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra and then began teaching at the Mannheim University of Music and at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid . Korupp acted as a jury member in international competitions.

Reimund Korupp died on March 20, 2013 and was buried in the mountain cemetery in Heidelberg.

He has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival , Harrogate Festival, Lucerne Festival Weeks , Zurich June Festival Weeks, Festival "Grec" Barcelona and Festival "Pablo Casals" San Salvador .
