ReinMeer Aomori FC ( Japanese ラ イ ン メ ー ル 青森 FC Rainmēru Aomori Efu Shī ) is a Japanese football club from Aomori in the prefecture of the same name . He has played in the Japan Football League since 2016 .
history
The club was founded in 1995 as Aomori Football Team ( 青森 蹴 球 団 Aomori Shūkyū-dan ) by the Football Association of the Prefecture and was originally designed as a city selection for the best Aomoris players. After the early years in the prefecture leagues the team managed two for the 2003 season promotion to the Northern Division season of the Tohoku - Regional , but went straight off again.
In 2007 the team changed hands and became the corporate team of Towa Electric Material Supply ( 東 和 電 材 Tōwadenzai ). With the new owner, success slowly came to Aomori: At the end of the 2008 season ReinMeer managed to return to the Regionalliga lower house, in 2009 and 2010 the class was held in relegation in order to slowly climb up in the following seasons and on At the end of the 2013 season, he finally made the leap into Division 1 of the Regionalliga. A third place was achieved there straight away.
The year 2015 was the most successful in the club's history so far. First, ReinMeer qualified for the first time in his club's history by winning the prefecture cup for the imperial cup , the last stop in the first round at the end of August was the second division Mito HollyHock . The team then reached the semi-finals of the Japanese Amateur Cup in October and qualified for the national regional league finals despite only finishing second in the championship . Here the team reached the finals despite a strong group in the preliminary round and finally won it with ease. As a reward, ReinMeer Aomori was accepted into the Japan Football League for the 2016 season . The club's medium-term goal is admission to the J. League .
Club name
The name "ReinMeer" is a Portmanteau from the two German terms "pure" and "Meer" and, in connection with the name of the city (Aomori translates as " blue / green forest"), refers to the location of the place between forests in a quiet bay.
