Reinhard Blechert
Reinhard Blechert (born June 7, 1947 in Böhlen ) is a German swimmer who started in the 1960s for the Wasserfreunde Wuppertal and DSW 1912 Darmstadt . He is 1.83 m tall and weighed 80 kg when he was active.
Blechert won four German championships:
He also took part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and achieved the following results:
- 100 m back: 7th place in 1: 01.9 minutes (gold went to Roland Matthes in the Olympic record time of 58.7 seconds)
- 200 m back: 9th place in 2: 16.5 minutes (eliminated in the preliminary run)
- 4 × 100 m layer relay : 6th place in 4: 05.4 min. In the line-up of Reinhard Blechert, Gregor Betz , Lutz Stoklasa and Wolfgang Kremer (gold went to the USA , who swam a world record in 3: 54.9 min.)
