Reinhard Klooss

Reinhard Klooss (* 1954 ) is a German feature film producer , writer and director .

Life

After studying literature , Reinhard Klooss initially worked as an author for radio and television . Then he came to Constantin Film as a dramaturge in the 1980s . In 1993 he became managing director at Bavaria Filmverleih , at Bavaria Film he also worked as an author , director and producer . In 1995 he moved to Studio Babelsberg as director , but returned to Bavaria in 1997. When Odeon Film AG was founded in 1999 to co- produce the first Asterix real-life film Asterix and Obelix against Caesar , Klooss was appointed head of the cinema division. From 2004 he was managing director of a subsidiary of Bavaria Film, Bavaria Pictures . From 2006 to 2015 he worked as a feature film producer at Constantin Film AG .

In 2009 Klooss and Oliver Huzly received the German Animation Script Award for the animated film Conference of the Animals at the Stuttgart Animated Film Festival . In 2013, Klooss was a member of the jury in the AniMovie category at the Stuttgart Animated Film Festival alongside Bill Plympton and Anand Gurnani .

As a (co-) producer he was responsible for films like Asterix and Obelix against Caesar , Army Go Home! , Urmel from the ice , Animal Conference , Wildfire , Go Trabi Go , Charlie & Louise , Comedian Harmonists and Leo and Claire .
