Life

The author was originally a post office clerk, then a bank teller, managing director of a nightspot and later a tire trading and vulcanizing company. After a few years as a sales manager in an insurance company, most recently as a director, he had been working as an independent insurance broker since 1990. From the end of 1980 he acquired a number of programming languages. In his second professional field as a system administrator and software developer, he managed complex development projects. In his professional life, the author placed less emphasis on security and more on stimulating activity. This also led to numerous investigative jobs and work as a troubleshooter.

Kocznar's crime novels are set in an economic environment in which violence does not play a particular role. It happens more by chance and in such a case it would have been better not to. The keynote is still hardboiled, the investigator himself settled in the financial sector. The new technologies, which observe, incapacitate and remotely control people unnoticed, are important.

In the thriller Before Daybreak , the idea is that the most monstrous things can happen in the immediate vicinity without being reported, because the basic idea is desired and must not be discredited. A particular concern of the author is the rule of the machine over the human being, which is discussed in the essay Hamster im Laufrad . The reason for the essay is the consideration that 30 years after Vilém Flusser's essay For a Philosophy of Photography, its conclusions have proven to be far-sighted.

Flusser's considerations are also reflected in Kocznar's photography. By Flusser's definition, is a photographer

"A person who tries to put information not provided in the camera program into the picture"

- Flusser : For a philosophy of photography

The zone system of Ansel Adams is consequently applied.
