Reinhard Krammer

Reinhard Krammer (born April 8, 1949 in Radstadt ; † November 8, 2017 ) was an Austrian historian , history teacher and didactician for political education. He was an associate professor at the University of Salzburg .

Life

From 1968 to 1975, Krammer studied history, physical education and English at the University of Salzburg. In 1979 he received his doctorate and in 2004 his habilitation in history didactics.

From 1973 to 1992 he was a teacher at the Bundeshandelsakademie II in Salzburg, a lecturer at the Pedagogical Academy, at the Federal Pedagogical Institute in Salzburg and a lecturer for specialist didactics at the Institute for History at the University of Salzburg and from 1992 to 2010 he was a specialist didactician at the history department of the university Salzburg. He is the founder of the Central Office for History Didactics and Political Education , an inter-university research institution that he headed from 2006 to 2010.

From 2001 he was in the head of the sub-project lesson analysis and lesson profiling of the international project for historical awareness . He was involved in the development of the competence structure model for historical thinking and the competence structure model for political education .

He was co-editor of the series Austrian Contributions to History Didactics .
