Reinhard von Hymmen

Reinhard Maximilian Friedrich Karl Ludwig August Wilhelm von Hymmen (born January 28, 1831 in Bonn , † February 17, 1909 in Bonn-Endenich ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator.

Origin and family

As the son of the married couple Ludwig Anton Friedrich Heinrich Eberhard von Hymmen and Henriette von Ammon, Reinhard von Hymmen came from a Westphalian family of judicial and administrative officials with an estate in the Rhine province . On July 20, 1885 von Hymmen had married Agnes Hilde Johanna Maria von Bylandt in The Hague. 4 sons and two daughters were the result of this marriage. He was a brother-in-law of Franz von Bodelschwingh (district administrator in the Hamm district) and of Karl von Holtzbrinck (district administrator in the Altena district).

Career

After the auscultator exams in 1853 and government assessor, he was appointed government assessor on February 7, 1863 and transferred to the district government of Düsseldorf . On June 8, 1867, he was entrusted with the municipal administration of the Kleve district and on November 11, 1868 he was appointed district administrator of the Kleve district. In 1868 he became district administrator in the Hagen district . Early dismissal from civil service was suggested to him because of official shortcomings. With his release on June 15, 1892, he was awarded the title of Privy Councilor . He did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the royal hussars . From 1882 to 1885 he was a representative of Prince zu Salm-Horstmar in the Provincial Parliament of Westphalia .
