Reinhold Kauder

Reinhold Kauder (born January 30, 1950 in Bückeburg ) is a former German canoeist who competed in the canoe slalom for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Kauder started for the KC Grevenbroich. At the 1969 World Championships in Bourg St.-Maurice, he finished second behind Wolfgang Peters in the individual canoe ; In the team classification, the two won the world championship title together with Harald Cuypers .

For this sporting achievement he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on June 16, 1970.

Two years later in Meran Kauder won the individual standings, in the team standings the team from the GDR won ahead of Cuyper, Kauder and Peters.

At the 1972 Olympic Games , Olympic canoe slalom competitions were held for the first time. On the Augsburger Eiskanal won Reinhard Eiben from the GDR, who had not heard in the previous year to the GDR team, before Kauder and James McEwen from the United States. In 1973 Kauder won his second German championship title after 1972, at the World Cup he was no longer part of the German squad.
