René Donoyan (born April 8, 1940 in La Ciotat ) is a former French football goalkeeper . In 1964 and 1973 he was French champion and played 61 games in France's first division .

Donoyan began his career at AS Saint-Étienne . He celebrated his first major success there in 1964 when he won the championship title. However, he was only used twice in the championship season. He then moved to the club, initially to AS Cherbourg . In the following years he played for several other clubs. The FC Nantes was his last career station; there he completed a total of 23 first division games from 1972 to 1976. He was also used once in the UEFA Cup . In 1973 he was again French champions with Nantes, he completed four games that season. He spent most of his career in the second division . There he was used 222 times, compared to 61 games in the first division.
