reception
In 1987 Mueller received the City of Bern Book Prize for 5000 francs for the volume of poetry Geliebte Tödin .
«René E. Mueller von Boltigen im Simmental has wisely left Switzerland. His lifestyle ran into difficulties. Some of his poems are good. Maybe even a lot. The novel, which he only told me about, sounds elementary. He doesn't love the word poet. Therefore do not apply it to him. "
Quote
The bread is hard, the water is bland,
No cigarettes - what a shame,
The stink from the bucket
makes
me sick,
But
two dozen bugs are dancing squeakily on my ass !
