René Schwittay

René Schwittay (* 1978 in Solingen ) is a German actor .

Life

From 1999 to 2003 René Schwittay trained as an actor at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam . He had his first engagement from 2003 to 2009 at the Theater Magdeburg . During his time in Magdeburg at the Freie Kammerspiele he played the leading roles in Georg Büchner's Woyzeck and Ferenc Molnár's Liliom . In 2006 he was awarded the advancement award for young artists of the Friends of Theater Magdeburg for the field of drama. Since 2009 he has been a member of the ensemble at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. There he played the title role in Anton Chekhov's Ivanov and was seen as Lorenzo in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet . In the 2012/2013 season he will be on stage in the adaptation of the novel by Ödön von Horváth Youth Without God .

René Schwittay also worked in film and television productions . In addition to some roles in various films, he appeared as an actor in the TV series SOKO Leipzig and SOKO Wismar . In 2012, he was seen as Wolfram Littchen in the television films Wegwerfmädchen and The Golden Ribbon from the Tatort television series .

René Schwittay also works as a radio play speaker. So it was him in the audio adaptation of Anne Fine's youth book Family game in the six-part radio drama of the stories stormy night as Richard , and as narrator heard. In this production, the West German Radio led Joachim Sonderhoff direct.
