Anne Fine
Anne Fine (born December 7, 1947 in Leicester ) is a British writer . She was the second winner of the Children's Laureate Literature Prize from 2001-2003 .
Anne Fine studied history and political science in Warwick . She then worked for a year as a teacher, then at Oxford as an information officer for Oxfam . When her first daughter was born in 1971, she started writing. She was married to the British philosopher Kit Fine and has two daughters, Cordelia and Ione. Fine lives in Barnard Castle .
