René Selke (born July 24, 1984 ) is a German handball manager and former handball player . He is 1.94 m tall and was born in Berlin .

Selke played for SG Police SV / VfL Tegel until 2003. The handball goalkeeper then signed a contract with the Bundesliga club and reigning German champions TBV Lemgo . In addition, he had a second game right at the second division HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof . Selke's greatest sporting successes are winning the 2004 European Junior Championship and the 2003 Junior European Championship. At club level, he won the EHF Cup in 2006 with the TBV Lemgo .

From 2007 Selke played for the second division HSC 2000 Coburg . In 2011 he signed a contract with the second division HC Erlangen , with which he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2014 . After the 2013/14 season he moved to the management of the club. In the summer of 2016 Selke was appointed managing director of HC Erlangen.
