Renée Adams

Renée B. Adams is an American mathematician and economist . She is Professor of Finance at the Australian School of Business (ASB) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

Adams is also the Director of Women in the Leadership Network at UNSW Business School, a partner in the LSE Financial Markets Group, a leading European center for political research in financial markets. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research and a member of the European Corporate Governance Institute . From 2010, Adams was director of the Australian financial research network FIRN, a network of sixteen Australian universities that u. a. Coordinated Australia's premier annual financial conference and an elite doctoral program in Australia.

Her research focus is on the organization of corporate boards . Adams publications deal with the flow of information between executives and the board of directors , gender diversity in boards, governance problems in banks, group decisions in boards and the governance of central banks . Career

Renée B. Adams graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.Sc. with The Top Mathematics Graduate Award . In 1993, she received an M.Sc. from Stanford University. in mathematics and received her PhD in economics from the University of Chicago in 2001 with Gary Becker , Canice Prendergast, Raghuram Rajan and Luigi Zingales .

From October 1999 to July 2003 she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York . From December 2001 to July 2003 she was visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business and from June to September 2005 at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo . From July 2003 to December 2005 Adams was assistant professor and from December 2005 "Associate Professor" at the Stockholm School of Economics , and from September 2005 to July 2006 visiting scholar at Stockholm Institute for Financial Research. In March 2006, she was appointed Professor of Finance at UQ Business School, University of Queensland . Since December 2011 she has been Professor of Finance at the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales.
