Renate Hoffleit (* 1950 in Stuttgart ) is a German sculptor and artist . She lives and works primarily in Stuttgart.

Life

Renate Hoffleit, the golden egg, Aichtal / Boeblingen district

Renate Hoffleit studied graphics, free graphics and sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . Her sculptural works with marble and light have been created since 1979 and sculptures, plaza designs and fountains in public spaces since 1987. In 1992 Renate Hoffleit began her location-specific, audio-visual work VERTONUNGEN . Together with Michael Bach Bachtischa , Renate Hoffleit has been creating site-specific sound installations, string installations with performances since 1993 .

Renate Hoffleit received for her artistic work a. a. Scholarships from the Kunstfonds e. V., Bonn, and the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg as well as scholarships for study visits to the German Academy Villa Massimo Casa Baldi, Olevano, Italy and the Djerassi Foundation, USA. The Utsukushi-ga-hara Museum Award, Japan, was given to her for her mirror bronze sculpture CONVEX CONCAVE.

For their sound projects Renate Hoffleit and Michael Bach Bachtischa received grants a. a. the Irish Arts Council, Ireland, the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Innovation Fund Art Baden-Württemberg.
