Renate Totzke-Israel

Renate Totzke-Israel (born October 23, 1932 in Dresden ) is a German graphic artist and book illustrator .

Life

Renate Totzke-Israel studied from 1953 to 1958 at the Art Academy Berlin-Weißensee . After that she settled down as a freelance artist and mainly created book illustrations. As an illustrator of children's books , she was one of the most productive artists in the GDR. Several of the books she illustrated were awarded as the most beautiful book in the GDR.

She was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR .
