Joachim Kupsch
Joachim Kupsch (born October 18, 1926 in Leipzig ; † July 6, 2006 ) was a German writer .
Life
Joachim Kupsch took after attending the secondary school of 1944-45 as a soldier Wehrmacht on World War II in part. He became a prisoner of war ; after his release he worked as a bricklayer . He then worked for the Leipzig broadcaster of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk and freelance dramaturge at the Leipzig theater. In 1950 he moved to Dresden , where he worked as a freelance writer . Since 1955 he was based in Leipzig, where he took part in a course at the literature institute "Johannes R. Becher" from 1955 to 1957 and attended lectures in German studies at the university as an external until 1962 .
Joachim Kupsch was the author of short stories , novels , radio plays and screenplays . In his works he initially processed z. Some of his own experiences in the war, later he published mainly novel-like biographies , a. a. about August Bebel and composers like Handel , Haydn , Beethoven , Schubert and Wagner . A Nietzsche novel with the title Weh der Wüsten harbors remained unpublished.
Joachim Kupsch was a member of the GDR Writers' Association from 1954 to 1990 ; since 1991 he was a member of the support group Free Literature Society Leipzig . As part of a commemoration ceremony, his artistic estate was handed over to the Leipzig City Library as requested .
