Renate Vogel (politician)
Renate Vogel (born January 16, 1947 in Berlin ) is a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life and politics
Vogel worked as a bookseller and has two children.
In 1972 she joined the SPD and exercised several local political functions. Among other things, she was on the district executive committee, district chairwoman and district and state delegate. She sat for her party in the Hamburg-Altona district assembly .
Vogel was a member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD from October 1991 to 2001. She sat there among other things for their faction in the Committee Education, Youth and Vocational Training, the Environment Committee and the Committee of the Interior and the Civil Service. In addition, from 1998 she was environmental policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group.
For the 2001 general election she was no longer considered by her party for a place on the list. Today she is a deputy of the authority for urban development and the environment and a member of the board of the Rissen - Sülldorf district .
