Renato Balduzzi
Renato Balduzzi (born February 12, 1955 in Voghera ) is an Italian legal scholar and politician of the Scelta Civica . From November 16, 2011 to April 28, 2013, he was Italian Minister of Health in the government of Mario Monti .
Life
Renato Balduzzi graduated from the University of Genoa in 1979 with a law degree . With the work "Il controllo della Corte dei conti sui decreti-legge e sui decreti delegati" (The Audit Office's Control of Laws and Regulations) with Lorenzo Acquarone, he was awarded the title of Dr. iur. PhD . From 1981 to 1982 he was research assistant in a study for constitutional law at the European Commission with Federico Sanchez and from 1985 to 1986 on comparative constitutional law at the University of Paris-Nanterre with Michel Troper . He has been Professor of Constitutional Law at the Università del Piemonte Orientale . Since 2008 he has been the coordinator of the doctoral college on local autonomies, public services and civil rights (DRASD; www.drasd.unipmn.it); since 2007 director of the Centro di eccellenza interfacoltà di servizi per il management sanitario (CEIMS; www.ceims.unipmn.it).
Act
He was legal advisor to the Ministry of Defense (1989–1992), the Ministry of Health (1996–2000) and the Ministry of Family (2006–2008). From 1997 to 1999 he was Head of the Office of the Ministry of Health. He also chaired the inter-ministerial committee for health reform. Since 2009 he has been chairman of the evaluation of the university hospital "Maggiore of Charity" in Novara and since 2006 chairman of the steering committee of the university hospital Policlinico St. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital, Bologna. He has been President of Age.Na.S. since 2007 . - Agenzia Nazionale per i Servizi Sanitari Regionali .
From 2002 to 2009 he was President of the Catholic Movimento Ecclesiale di Impegno Culturale (MEIC) and currently represents its interests at Pax Romana ICMICA .
Renato Balduzzi is a member of various scientific advisory boards for specialist journals. Since 2003 he has been the director of the twice-monthly magazine Coscienza . From 1989 to 1992 he edited the cultural magazine Nuova politeia .
