The church village is located in the Vilstal 4.5 kilometers west of Eichendorf on the state road St2083.
history
The municipality of Rengersdorf, founded by the Bavarian municipal edict in 1818, included Rengersdorf as well as Breitenhub, Büchsenholz, Grüben, Haag, Hochholzen, Kraglöd, Madl, Marienthal, Niedereck, Obereck, Paßhausen, Sandberg, Stelzenöd, Untermadl, Weilöd and Wildeneck. Rengersdorf with parts of the community was incorporated into the Eichendorf market on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Breitenhub, Grüben, Haag, Hochholzen, Marienthal, Niedereck, Obereck, Sandberg, Untermadl and Wildeneck came to Simbach
Architectural monuments
The Catholic branch church St. Leonhard dates from the second half of the 15th century.
