The Rettig Germany GmbH (proper spelling RETTIG Germany ) is a German manufacturer of products in the field of heat transfer , headquartered in Goslar , district Vienenburg , and two other locations in Germany. The company, which is part of the Purmo Group subgroup of the Finnish Rettig Group , has the Purmo and Vogel & Noot brands in Germany .

history

In 2000, Rettig Germany has been by way of merger of Purmo AG (Hannover, active from 1974 in Germany) and the Dianorm heat GmbH (Vienenburg, founded in 1960 as a work of Raussendorf Machinery and Equipment GmbH, 1973, the radiator production started) for Purmo DiaNorm Wärme AG founded in Vienenburg. On September 23, 2009, Purmo DiaNorm Wärme AG was renamed as Rettig Germany GmbH as part of the change in legal form . With retroactive effect from January 1, 2009, Vogel & Noot Wärmetechnik GmbH ( Lilienthal ) was merged with Purmo DiaNorm Wärme AG.

In 2012, Rettig ICC (today: Purmo Group) took over the German pipe manufacturer Hewing GmbH from the Finnish Uponor group. Since then, Hewing GmbH has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rettig Germany.

Brands and products

Purmo is the brand name for radiators , underfloor heating and heating connection systems from the Finnish Rettig Group. The name of the Purmo brand comes from the municipality of Purmo in the western Finnish district of Österbotten, where the company's radiator production began in the 1950s. Rettig Germany sells radiators, underfloor heating and chimney systems under the Vogel & Noot brand .

Corporate structure

In addition to production in Goslar-Vienenburg, Rettig Germany also produces in Meiningen (Thuringia) and Lilienthal (Lower Saxony). From 2013 to 2019 the company maintained a center for research and development in Crimmitschau (Saxony).

Group affiliation

Rettig Germany GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Purmo Group Ltd., based in Helsinki (Finland). Purmo Group is in turn a subsidiary of the Rettig Group based in Helsinki (Finland). The Rettig Group, which acts as an investment company for the owner family, is primarily active in lime extraction ( Nordkalk ) in addition to production in the area of ​​heat transfer (Purmo Group) .
