Reuben Foster (* 4. April 1994 in Auburn , Alabama ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the linebackers . He plays for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL). He previously played college football at the University of Alabama for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was selected by the 49ers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft . Foster was considered the number one inside linebacker of his year. He won the Butkus Award of the NCAA for the best linebacker in the season 2016. On November 25, 2018 Reuben Foster after his third arrest in 11 months was released by the 49ers. The arrest was triggered by domestic violence.

High school

Foster moved to Georgia from Alabama when he was six . There he attended Troup County High School, where he also played American football. During his freshman year in a game against Carver High School, Foster delivered an outstanding performance against running back Isaiah Crowell . “ That was my coming out party. That's when they started calling me 'freakish freshman' ”(German:" That was my debut party. From then on they called me crazy newbie. "), Said Foster after the game. He finished the year with 110 tackles .

Foster finished his junior season at Troup County High School with 185 tackles, with 34 tackles causing loss of space and 18 sacks . After rumors in February 2012 of Charles Flowers, the coach of the Troup County High School football team, Foster decided to do his senior year at another high school.

In April 2012, he moved to Auburn High School in Alabama.

In his senior year of high school, Foster had 80 tackles and 2 sacks. Foster played in the Under Armor All-America Game in 2013, which he finished with 6 tackles, 2.5 for loss of space, and the award as a defensive MVP .

college

Foster made his debut for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the season opening game against Virginia Tech University . In this game he only came up with one tackle. He reached 12 tackles in 9 games of the season, one of which caused the opponent to lose space. On April 5, 2014, Foster injured himself during training.

He lost his position as a starter to Reggie Ragland. Foster still played 11 games and had the third most tackles (8) in the special teams . He made his first career start as a middle linebacker against the West Virginia Mountaineers . He came up with 7 tackles, one for loss of space. Foster finished his sophomore year with 22 tackles.

In his junior year, Foster started as an inside linebacker and became second best linebacker with 73 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries and 9 blocked passes. From his senior year he was considered one of the best linebackers in college football. After his final season, which he finished with 115 tackles, 13 for loss of space, and 5 sacks, he won the Butkus Award for best linebacker in college football.

NFL

On February 13, 2017, Foster underwent shoulder surgery, which resulted in his being unable to participate in the NFL Combine .

Foster was banned from the NFL Combine after he had a heated conversation with a hospital worker. During the NFL Combines, it was announced that Foster had failed a drug test. On April 20, 2017, it was revealed that his urine sample was diluted, which was considered a positive test result.

Reuben Foster was the top ten pick of the NFL Draft 2017. Due to the positive test, his shoulder injury and the canceled NFL Combine, he slipped in the draft. Ultimately, he was drafted in the first round in thirty-first place by the San Francisco 49ers , which was often considered a steal ( English draftsteal , bargain of the draft ).

In 2018, Foster was suspended for two games for illegal possession of weapons and drugs.

On November 25, 2018, Reuben Foster was released by the San Francisco 49ers after his third arrest in 11 months . The arrest was triggered by domestic violence.

On November 27, 2018, the Washington Redskins secured the rights to Reuben Foster via the waiver .

Personal

Foster's parents are Inita Berry Paige and Danny Foster. His father shot his mother in November 1995 while she was holding Reuben, who was also injured.

After Danny Foster was charged in 1996, he fled to California, where he was arrested. He was transferred to Randolph County , where it broke out in December 1996. After 16 years in Miami, he was arrested under a new identity and transferred back to Rudolph County.

Reuben Foster has a daughter.

In April 2016, Reuben Foster was present but not involved during a shootout outside an Auburn nightclub that killed three people.
