Reverend Elvis
Reverend Elvis (actually Andreas Freier ; born August 12, 1975 ) is a German singer , songwriter and guitarist .
biography
Reverend Elvis has been a singer and guitarist since 2003 and plays both solo and with his band "The Undead Syncopators". He is also one of the founders and co-owners of the underground music label "Suzy Q Records". Especially the solo albums and live performances move in the field of tension of so-called roots music . In addition to classic sounds such as blues , hillbilly and rockabilly, more modern styles such as punk and psychobilly are important influences . He himself attributes some of his music to Death Country. Reverend Elvis has been publishing studio albums regularly since 2004, both in Europe and in the USA .
Undead Syncopators
The Undead Syncopators formed in 2004, first as a backing band for the album Legend of the Undead , which was released in the same year, and later as a live band for the "Reverend Elvis" shows. The Undead Syncopators consist of changing musicians, with "D.Shadow" playing the double bass on the LP * Punk * released in 2009 . The current line-up consists of Tom Müller ( drums ), Daniel Thiede ( lead guitar ) and Reverend Elvis ( guitar and vocals ).
Suzy Q Records
Suzy Q Records is an independent label from Chemnitz. It was founded as a record store in 1999 by Reverend Elvis, Sylvia von Undead and D.Shadow. Since 2003, Suzy Q Records has been regularly releasing studio albums by various bands, such as The Retarded Rats . It specializes in the rockabilly , psychobilly and country music genres .
